
Service Mandate
To assist unemployed Langley/Aldergrove area Youth clients by providing one-to-one individualized sessions, and/or group sessions focusing on job search skills, employability skills, and techniques. This is attained by the project implementing case managers request on clients return to work action plan and providing the client with twelve weeks of support and follow up for the action plan implementation. (12-week follow-up does not reflect case management being done).
In order to facilitate project responsiveness to participants, a constant connection with Fraser Valley Wage Subsidy program and local employers is maintained in order to keep up with the demands of the job market, and new regulations being enforced.
Unemployed youth clients between 16-30 years of age and out of school and (who meet Service Canada definition of unemployed), legally entitled to work in Canada, residing in the Township of Langley and the City of Langley areas, who are lacking the skills to find work on their own will benefit from this service. Multi-barriered youth will also benefit most as Myert is well known in the community for delivering services to this group.
