- An atmosphere free from drugs and alcohol. Persons under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol are not permitted in the Centre
Clients are reminded that the resources in the Centre, including the computers, fax machines and telephones, are for services related to job search ONLY, and for no other purpose.
Children are very welcome at YERC. Please remember that they must be supervised at all times by a Parent while on the premises. Staff will ask parents to remove children who are noisy or disruptive.
Part of the preparation for employment is related to what you wear. Therefore, clients are expected to be dressed appropriately while here in the Centre. This includes: Shoes and shirts must be worn and no bikini tops or short shorts.
The only animals that are allowed in the Centre are those, which are assisting disabled clients.
The Community Employment Resource Centre reserves the right to refuse service to clients who do not follow the above policies.
Complaints Procedure:
Complaints or concerns regarding the services offered at YERC, including complaints about members of staff, should be raised in the first instance, if possible, with the person or persons concerned. Staff will make every effort to resolve problems at this point.
If the complaint or concern is not satisfactorily resolved through Step 1 above, the complaint should be raised with the Manager, preferably in writing.
When a complaint is received, the Manager will meet with the person making the complaint within one week, and make every effort to resolve the problem satisfactorily. Actions taken at this stage may include the review of the client’s file by the Manager and/or another facilitator, and a meeting involving the complaining party, the staff concerned and the Manager.
If the complaint is still not satisfactorily resolved, the complaining person may request that it be taken to the Executive Director of MYERT Corps, whose decision shall be final.
If you wish to compliment our services, a card or letter will suffice.
