Service Delivery Approach
The employment services and programs delivered by MYERT CORPS INC are designed to serve the needs of all unemployed individuals who are legally entitled to work in Canada.
Client categories re eligibility to access service include:
- unemployed
- out of school
- working an average of less than 20 hours per week and actively seeking full-time employment
- in receipt of notice of imminent layoff
- must leave current occupation due to medical reasons
Myert's provision of employment services to unemployed persons is consistent with the focus of the Employment Benefits and Support Measures established by Service Canada. Our Agency employment assistance service is in concert with the business priorities set out by Service Canada at the local, regional and national levels. Further, the activities undertaken by our Agency, specifically, the assistance to unemployed individuals to prepare for, obtain and maintain employment will, it is expected, generate savings to the Employment Insurance Account – one of the primary objectives of the Employment Benefits and Support Measures.
With a view to engendering success in the activities undertaken by unemployed individuals in their quest for re-employment, and in keeping with the Employment Assistance Services focus on “measuring positive results and outcomes achieved by clients”, our Agency continues to ensure quality service to this client group by:
- ensuring the achievement of results instead of measuring process, and providing results for all individuals
- supporting a client-driven approach to ensure individual commitment and empowerment
- facilitating local level flexibility based on local labour market need
- promoting cooperation and coordination where different agreement-holders deliver interventions and services to a common client and/or draw clients from more than one Service Canada service delivery area.
